Ruggero Leoncavallo International Voice Competition
In the tradition of great vocal artistry, the Ruggero Leoncavallo International Singing Competition invites young performers to engage with a central figure of musical theatre. Ruggero Leoncavallo — a leading voice of verismo — was a composer, pianist and librettist who combined theatrical instinct, melodic strength and literary refinement. In his last years he chose Brissago, on Lake Maggiore, as his creative home, leaving a legacy now preserved by the Museo Ruggero Leoncavallo. The competition promotes his vocal repertoire, offering candidates prizes and concert opportunities.
